With a traditional approach to sculpture, Rin Marks uses casting and molding techniques to bring her pieces to life.
The step by step guide below will take you through the meticulous process that results in entirely handmade replicas of original sculptures.
By using this process, a single sculpture can be replicated hundreds of times while still keeping that magical handmade element!

THE CREATIVE PROCESS

  • STEP 1

Hand sculpt a piece in oil based clay.

  • STEP 2

Create a silicone mold of the sculpture.

keeping art human

With an emphasis on keeping traditional mediums alive, all of Rin’s artwork is made using techniques developed before the birth of 3D printing or A.I.

By combining things like traditional sculpting, painting, crafting, and mold making, these mixed media pieces can be brought to life without any computers or machinery!
